Unfortunately as long as there are criminals out there, identity theft will be around. I can relate to your problem. I'm having a similar problem now. Someone used my last name, gave my address and phone number and I'm assuming charged all kinds of stuff. Collection agencies keep calling me and asking for this person. When I tell them there is no one by that name living here, they act like I'm lying to them. I try to explain to them that someone must have gotten my name out of the phone book and is using my info. They continue to be rude, and most of the time I have to hang up on them. So, yeah, as long as there are crooks out there, a lot of us are going to have problems. Also...someone in Malasya was using my credit card. Charged $1500.00 on it before the credit card company called me. I don't use my credit cards very often, so when they saw those charges they called me right away.
